Policies Concerning Email and Internet Use, Essay Example

This memo has been drafted with regards to the utilization of the email and internet services within the Company’s Computer network. Company internet policy concerning the use of the Information Technology policy are strict are to be adhered to by all employees of the company. As a quick reminder, the following policy is to be followed:

Established Policy

All company employees are mandated utilize the Companies IT resources in an appropriate manner deemed worthy by the administration. All staffs should duly note that:

• The Company reserves the full rights to monitor the employees use of social networking services, for example, Facebook posting while at the work place
• Employees will not be allowed to utilize the IT resources like email, voicemail and telephone for personal use. They are meant for conducting company business only.
• Any violations of the set policies would be met with gruesome disciplinary action entailing suspension from work with no pay among others to be decided by the administration.

The main aim for enacting these policies is for promoting better work ethic at the office while encouraging and ensuring positive productivity of the employee as they use the Company’s resources. The office administration would like to urge all employees that he set policies are merely ground rules set to aid in governing colleagues at work and help reduce the over dependency on Facebook and other social. The management board intends to ensure that the use of the IT resources would not compromise the working procedures and business activities of the Company.
