Policy Institutes, Essay Example

Pages: 1

Words: 349

Essay

A number of policy institutes have been created in recent years in order to effectively accommodate the needs of specific healthcare areas where needs are significant and resources are lacking to manage important issues that impact many people. These groups examine a variety of healthcare issues and aim to be effective in working with many different groups of people and their specific needs. This requires an examination of the different aspects of these institutes and how they serve people in a positive manner (Porche, 2012). Policy institutes must demonstrate an ability to address a number of critical issues that impact communities throughout the world and that determine how the healthcare industry moves forward in the future to meet the ever-increasing expectations of the consumer population.

Policy institutes exist throughout the world and provide further evidence of the different challenges and opportunities that impact many different populations. Therefore, it is important for policy institutes to expand their capacity and to be proactive in the identification of different issues that require further consideration and focus (Bennett et.al, 2012). It is necessary to demonstrate a high level of knowledge and experience that will influence how an organization is able to contribute to important discussions regarding policies that will impact outcomes for many people. This requires full support from the leadership team and those who develop policies and strategies in order to effectively meet expectations and to make sense of many of the dilemmas that impact the healthcare industry as a whole and the patients who are served. Under these conditions, it is important to identify areas where patients will receive the proper attention and focus because the policies that are in place govern many communities and provide support to individuals in need. Therefore, strong leaders must govern these practice environments and support areas such as advanced practice nursing at a high level to meet expectations and support positive outcomes.
