Policy Prescription, Coursework Example

The development of restrictions on prescriptions is one tool of policy that is gaining popularity in regulating the expenses on pharmaceuticals. Although standard insurance rulings have been extended to the officially recognized diagnosis, regulators have lately imposed limits on the drug’s claims. According to Dunn (2012), these restrictions, in most cases, are connected to following a particular protocol of treatment to minimize the prescribers or the indications range. Via the formulation of prescription directions for some situations, the medical care officials have control of practitioners’ prescribing.

The regulations may be viewed as a form of extension of non-reimbursement lists. The guidelines of prescription should keenly be differentiated from medical regulations or regulations of treatment from physicians’ associations (Dunn, 2012). The act of narrowing the indication particularly may rely on clinical results, but also the outcomes of health economic analysis and fiscal analysis could be carefully considered. The main goal is to recognize the most efficient and effective remedy to financial and technical terms and the appropriate way of allocating resources.

Driver inattention is a significant cause of injuries associated with the traffic. A 2006 mechanistic driving study found that some driver inattention included 78 percent of accidents and 65 percent of close collisions (Dunn, 2012). There’s presently a motion to pass legislation restricting or banning the operation of electronic equipment while driving, a practice believed to minimize driver concentration and efficiency. However, several local authorities in Washington State have concentrated not on the trigger, but the consequence, driver inattentiveness. Effectiveness and reliability requirements of public transport policies or regulations can help to minimize interrupted and inattentive driving and thus reduce traffic accidents.
