Politicians Are as the Heads of the Society, Essay Example

Pages: 1

Words: 290

Essay

Politicians are viewed as the steer heads of the society in accomplishing the goals of a society or a certain community. Such position in the society requires certain traits, which are measured to be enviable for a politician. Politicians are credited on what they do and behave in public, but the public does not know what happens in the normal human life of such an individual. Many a times secrets have been revealed to the general public leaving many astonished and disappointed in their once truly heartfelt public figure.

This scenario does not only affect politicians but actually most if not all leaders of the society. Very good examples are religious leaders. People bestow their hopes and faith upon religious leaders who at the end of the day appear on front pages of news papers and magazines; crowned as kings and queens of the very same sins they preach against each and every day. They wear religious clothing and stand in front of masses preaching and rebuking against ungodly activities. For example, homosexuality, adultery, corruption and drug abuse are among the things they forbid us to do. It is an art of lying, and a majority of leaders is masters at it. They gain people’s trust, favors and donations, but behind our backs, the worst is happening.

Personally, I think that politicians and religious leaders are masters controlling front stage demeanor. Nobody is ready to follow a faith where the leader is a drunk, or vote for a politician who is known to have a wife and several mistresses. They need a good image and for that to happen some go to very great extents to cover up the dirt they bear. As a community, people should know their leaders very well.
