The design of the study

The group of patients were examined (N=234) by means of the Posttraumatic Diagnostic Scale and a short report in form of Questionnaire. The Linear and hierarchical regression was used to establish the PTSD warning sign criterion. The cross sectional survey design was considered the best for our research design since, the design is appropriate for illustrating the population and the examination of the corre3altion between the evaluated construct.

The outcome and predictor variables

PTSD symptoms was the main predictor variables (R2 [adjusted] = 0.184). Meddling judgment added slightly to the model, leading to extra 2.56% to the affirmed variances. The contribution of the other three warning sign were insignificant

Analysis regarding its implications for the hypotheses

The average score on PTSD symptoms depict a std. dev of 2.84, Mean, 7.684, for Age std. dev. = 8.96; Mean31.25, for Anxiety std. dev. = 1.92; mean 3.7, the average score on Assault severity std. dev. = 2.37, Mean, 6.47, and for depreciation, std. dev. = 3.14; Mean 5.4.

In model, one of table above the outcome of a linear regression with PSTD symptoms as the dependent variable and the four sign grouping is presented. In this model the R2 (adjusted) = 0.84 (R = 0.445; R2 = 0.198; SE of estimate = 2.567).

We used the SPSS software to get rid of the variables in the regression equation automatically. . In model 2, it is evident that there is constant  independent variable is added, which is the  Depression , Age, Assault severity and Anxiety as depicted below.

The model R2 (adjusted) is = 0.184 (R = 0.445; R2 = 0.198; SE of estimate = 2.566).

In model, three hyperactive arousal and intrusive thoughts were included. In model 3 the R 2 (adjusted) = 0.274 (R = 0.531; R2 = 0.282; SE of estimate = 1.182). From the previously mentioned (Model 1), it may be understood that 28.2% of the variance in the PSTD symptoms score is explained by the independent variables. Adding meddling consideration tie equation will enhance the predictive value of the model by 2.5% to affirm 35.25% of the variance. Adding the two variables to the model will lead to a growth in the predictive power by extra 0.68%. The model was as well tested if the Age was added as the variables to the four PSTD symptoms score. In this model, the R2 (adjusted) = 0.29 (R = 0.560; R2 = 0.31; SE of estimate = 2.61 with gender adding only 0.004 to model 1.

Conclusion

The questionnaires appraise the depression, Age, Anxiety and Assault severity. Te variables might be helpful in identifying assault survivor susceptible to chronic PTSD. When all of the substantial predictor variables consider in general multiple logistic assessments, depression (p=0.043,), Age p=0.02) and Anxiety p=0.059 were consider as the best correlation of the predictor variables by the coefficient. The three variables explained 45% of the variance at 96% significance level.
