What primary analysis area/s do you believe are most commonlyoverlooked or inadequately addressed in system analysis? Why?

In my opinion from recent research it would appear that system analysts tend to overlook software properties implementation and vendors’ adherence to security regulations. HIPPA mandates all health care organizations/providers that are desirous of changing from paper to paperless record keeping strategies that applicable software be installed to prevent security breaches (Austin& Boxerman, 1998).

System analysis is expected to evaluate weaknesses of an existing system while making recommendations for implementing new ones. A long standing weakness identified in a number of health information systems locally and nationally was breaches in maintaining patients’ privacy.’  It is my pointof view that since system analysis is a new research development strategy analysts have not yet discovered the appropriate tools, which will accurately evaluate where these breaches occur in database information management (Modell, 2003).

HIPPA tried presenting regulations to correct this issue based on recommendations of system analysts. Further, arguments have been advanced by notorious information technology experts that the international component embodying data sharing across an extensively large network of institutions and providers makes it extremely difficult to control privacy and security issues, which surface all the time when electronic health records EHR)/ electronic medical records (EMR) replaces paper/manual systems (Austin & Boxerman, 1998).

Therefore, in concluding that this aspect of security/privacy in system analysis is most commonly inadequately addressed  leaves me to assume that while this is so currently it may be difficult toresolve based on the investigative tools available to  system analysis as researchers (Modell, 2003).
