Principal Question Response, Essay Example

Pages: 2

Words: 417

Essay

In the first question, the first principal is seen to be giving very simple explanation. Visibility of the administrator is a key theme in the interview and it is required just as it is. The first principal seems to get the point quite clearly while the second principal beats around the bush in his answer. Though team work is required, he should not always assign staff members to do a certain task to the students and the community.

Bearing in mind that student learning had to be top priority, the second principal is seen to best adhere to this theme as he states the vision of the school which simply emphasizes on this theme. The first principal does not directly talk about academics but instead talks about implementing straight forward expectations from both teachers and students. Perhaps he should have expounded more on these expectations just to make sure that these are actually academic related.

On how to solve staff, parent and single concerns is well stipulated by the second principal unlike the first. The second principal is really good at answering these questions because he discusses the challenges involved and solution towards the implementation of an unpopular decision. These issues are seen to be tackled weekly which is frequent enough to make sure that all the stakeholders are satisfied with the normal running of the institution. This brings about so many themes on board. Examples are the collaboration and team work is seen in administration and the aspect of an excellent communicator is also seen in the entire school community. The first principal is very brief on this point as nothing much can be derived from him.

Generally, the second principal is seen to understand what teaching is all about. He has very good ideas to curb so many problems unlike principal one who seems to summarize all his answers that brings ambiguity. The second principal is seen to look for passion in his staff; communication again is enhanced by use of walkie-talkies unlike the fist principal who is only available on verbal written or on cell phone which definitely reduces the chances of communication. The second principal also describes the technology in use generously and nurtures even his stuff by allowing them to seek development opportunities on the web. He also nurtures their talents by having cross-curricular subjects taught in class. Another aspect that one cannot help but notice is that principal one seems to be very busy or lazy because he didn’t even answer the last question.
