Product Recall Letter, Essay Example

Pages: 1

Words: 234

Essay

We want to take a moment and thank the many customers who have purchased our Sew-Now sewing machines. These machines are outstanding and we hope you are having great success with the projects you are creating.

Unfortunately, although our machines are quite safe, we have received two reports that users of our ten-stitch portable sewing machine have been injured while sewing heavy fabrics. The current model of the ten-stitch portable Sew-Now machine is not designed to handle such fabrics as denim or drapery fabric. Fortunately, although the needle did break while in use, no person was seriously injured. Although our firm accepts no responsibility for these injuries, we have implemented a new upgrade program for all Sew-Now machines to have stronger needles suited for heavier materials.

You should take your Sew-Now machines to the stores where they were purchased. These stores have been notified and have a supply of the replacement needles. The good news is that the needle can actually be replaced while you wait! If this option does not work for you, simply return your machine in a prepaid package to:

Betsy Ross Sewing Machine Company, 168 West 17th Ave., Columbus, OH 43210.

Other than shipping, there is no cost to the user.

Should you have any questions about this recall, please feel free to call our toll-free number at 1-000-000-0000.

We all hope you will have many years of enjoyment from your newly upgraded Sew-Now sewing machine.
