How managers obtain the needed employee feedback

Employees’ feedback plays a crucial role in communication and the decision making of managers. Managers should ensure that they obtain the relevant feedback from employees since they are more likely to notice the problems with existing procedures and processes. Feedback is normally obtained through individual employee manager meetings. Through these meetings, employees get encouraged to open up and be honest about everything. Other methods include employee surveys that are carried out to find out their thoughts and feelings.

Communication in organization

Communication is elaborated as the process of sharing information between two or more groups or individuals. It is a human endeavor and only occurs after an understanding is reached between the involved parties whether groups or individuals (Jones and George 529). Communication is an essential aspect in any organization and every manager should know its importance. Good communication is a necessity for gaining competitive advantage as it enables organization achieves four main goals. Good communication helps in increasing customer’s responsiveness. This is done when empowered employees communicate customer’s needs and desires to the manager. Innovation in the organization is also increased since members of a cross functional team can communicate effectively. It again increases manager’s and employee’s efficiency as it facilitates the production and training of employees regarding new technology. Similarly, it improves quality hinges in effective communication. This occurs when managers communicate to subordinates on the importance of quality, and the subordinates in return, communicate on quality suggestions and problems.

As an American, the term communication, makes me reflect on online trade by Amazon, EBay or other organizations. Through feedback, customers can make orders or even complaints. When customers receive their merchandise, it means effective communication occurred. Complaints received through customer care are also communicated to management for efficient transactions.
