Public Speaking Is an Evolving Art, Essay Example

Pages: 1

Words: 249

Essay

This chapter provides a distinct presentation on what public speaking is and how common it is used by human individuals. To make the explanation much easier to grasp, it is likened to a common conversation with people [perhaps involving group of several individuals] to whom a person tries to speak to everyday. There are several different reasons as to why a person holds such types of conversations; often times to prove their side or to express their opinion on  particular issue, these instances invoke the need for one to have clear and organized thoughts especially when it comes to presenting his ideas to others. The chapter also tries to prove such aspect of human speech through treading down the pattern of history and how it invokes a distinct consideration over how humans’ desire to be hear specifically spurred the development of public speaking strategies used by motivational speakers and public figures at present.

Although it has been specifically stipulated in the chapter how the different elements of public speaking actually provide a clear foundation on how human communication has evolved through time, still does not provide a clear definition as to why public speaking does not come out as a natural skill on others compared to those who are actually able to express themselves freely. What are the most typical public speaking issues that some individuals need to deal with? How could these speaking hindrances be dealt with successfully? These questions are given attention to in the chapter that follows.
