For every company to succeed, it needs to strategize on its clientele since this is where a business gains its revenue from and they are they the primary target. Measures need to be put into place so that the customer service perspective can be analyzed and evaluated. Proctor and Gamble is no exception. The company has different objectives for its customer service perception and these include:
- Building business with customers who are un-served and underserved
- Focus on invention to grow their local brands and core categories
- Grow continually and faster ensuring that the structure of the business has an international leadership potential. (P &G Annual Report 2009).
These three objectives aim at improving customer service perspective and they all relate to the mission, vision and strategy of Proctor and Gamble in the following ways:
Vision: to gain global recognition as the producer and provider of the best consumer products and services. The three objectives can be integrated to fulfill this vision. They are all set to ensure that the company satisfies its customers by producing and providing the best consumer products and services.
Mission: to continue to serve consumers by continuously innovating products that will allow us to be leaders in household and personal care, health care, and food products. The second objective tackles invention of brands to deal with the local demand.
Strategy: to grow by touching and improving the lives of more consumers in more parts of the world. This is addressed by the objective that focuses on growth of businesses that have attractive structures with a potential of leading internationally. (Proctor and Gamble 2010)
Objective | Measure | Target | Action |

Focus on invention to grow their local brands and core categories
|
Increase the company’s share globally in its various brands | Its current share in Global Household Care is 20% in a $200 billion market. It should increase its share. | Focussing on the growth of market share profitably and positioning the company to extend on the leading market positions. |
Grow continually and faster ensuring that the structure of the business has an international leadership potential responsibility. | Concentrating on opportunity areas. | – Beauty and health segment
– Several household categories. |

The above objectives are closely related to the financial objectives outlined in the first module. Both sets of objectives are working closely to achieve the overall goals, strategy, mission and vision of the company.
