Racial Profiling Does Not Exist, Essay Example

Pages: 2

Words: 589

Essay

There is a severe problem within the law enforcement in the today’s society. A number of us are afraid of making the arrests and apply the force where it is applicable. Many of the people are afraid of an administration that is a non-supportive since they are ready to be brand named a racist if the suspect is a minority. In the California, the report came out that there have been various incidents of the ten weapon take-away efforts from the LAPD officials. The reports states that only two attempts were successful and the remaining went with no success since they hesitated to act forcefully, therefore losing their tactical advantage. The real idea was to stay away from the career-damaging complaints from the citizens. There is another case where a Georgia deputy was murdered at some point in a traffic stop. The officer was unwilling to act aggressively and was opting for a great politically approach, which as a result cost him his life. Each person within the law enforcement is aware that the agencies do not dedicate their hearts towards stopping the citizens since they are also part of the minority group. The only thing they are after is to take the criminals to jail.

Therefore, there is no need to harass the citizens who are innocent basically for the reason of their race. There is nothing like the existence of the racial profiling and many reports are put in place to prove it, but the assault on the law enforcement goes on. In the California state, it is necessary for all the officers to attend training on the racial profiling. In Seattle, a police chief came across some people adjoining a woman who had passed out as an effect of taking too much of heroine. Instead of the Officer offer a woman with a first aid, he instead resuscitated her. As a result of his effort, he had to go to the hospital to be rewarded with a Hepatitis B shots. The same day an incident occurred that some of the police officers were chasing a stolen car that struck a pedestrian. They were later blamed of causing the injuries to the pedestrian. Due to this situation, the professionals of the law enforcement must stop rolling for the mistaken principles of the unusual interest groups.

The management has to stand with their forces when people have wronged them immediately after they have the facts concerning the matter.

The racial profiling has been in action for the last past decades. The practice has caused some officers their carriers. The politicians and the radio Medias have denigrated the issue at any governmental level. But what we must understand is that police officer are mostly racists and they target they put their targets on the minorities to perpetuate the agenda of the racists. The racial profiling is sometimes a prophecy of self-fulfilling. But in a logical ground, the more one group is searched on the idea regarding the drugs it is believed that it is dispersed throughout the society, which resulted to a more minority arrests due to the unequal application of the law enforcement. Police countered by illustrating that they were struggling against the drugs. The effective and the efficient tools must be used since the law enforcement possessions are restricted. The targeting of people through race is particularly not racist, but a statistically good method of efficiently apprehending offenders of drug. But this case was rebutted and in turn all the laws must be equally applied to all of the population.
