Introduction

Hair loss is a very embarrassing problem which faces most of the women and men in the current world. It is commonly believed that hair loss occurs normally as a result of an individual advancement in age, but it is a very wrong believes. Ayurvedic treatment is a system made up of traditional medicines which originated from the Indian Subcontinent and is practiced in some places of the world as alternative medicine. It is a very influential type of medicine in most parts of South Asia. This alternative medicine system can be used in the treatment of the hair, resulting in good hair while avoiding the side effects of the conventional medicines.

Ayurvedic Methods for Treatment Of Hair

These are treatment options for hair loss which are natural and have no side effects. The best drug of choice is Bhringaraja, which can be taken as an oral drug or is used in massaging the scalp daily in the form of Nilibhringadi taila. The most commonly applied method is massaging the scalp thoroughly with the drug and then having a bath after an hour later. It will be normal for the hair to appear to be thinning in the beginning of the treatment because the drug first removes the weak hair from the scalp. However, this effect is temporary and new hair will grow which will be stronger and healthier.

Hair Omax is another Ayurvedic preparation which can either be a capsule or inform of oil. It can be used in both men and women and produces the best results when used together. It helps in regrowing hair which was lost as a result of hormones (androgen related hair loss). In androgenic hair loss, there is an increase of the hormone in the scalp which makes the hair follicles to increase their dormancy time therefore decreasing the time for growth. Therefore each follicle produce hair for a short period and rests for longer periods and then becomes permanently dormant and stops producing hair hence baldness results.

Hair Omax capsules provides nutrients for establishment of hormonal balance and hence blocks the actions of the androgens hence allowing hair to grow. Hair Omax oil helps in maintaining health scalp and eradicating external problems like the dandruff and the fungus when applied on the scalp. Therefore the two types act synergistically to allow hair regrowth. When the drug is taken for about three days, the hair is expected to become longer, stronger and healthier. More hair will also appear and areas of baldness disappear. Therefore it’s a very effective drug.

Use Of Rogaine For Hair Treatment

Rogaine, also called Minoxidil is a drug which is available over the counter for treatment of baldness. It promotes hair regrowth and stops or slows down hair loss. Although the drug is able to reverse baldness secondary to hormones, it has a wide rage of side effects. They include swelling of the face and the extremities, irregular and faster heartbeat, cardiac lesions and cardiomyopathy, lightheadedness and focal areas of necrosis in papillary muscles and sudendocardial parts of the left ventricle. There are also reported cases of allergic reactions of the body to the drug causing rashes a few minutes after taking the drug. Ironically, hair loss is also a common side effect in treatment with the drugs, a process described as shedding. It is also toxic and can cause death to humans and also cats. Therefore this drug has become less commonly used in treatment of hair.
