As the leader of an organization to leverage, the diversity to higher levels is quite crucial. For most leaders, they see this as a good to have aspect, but it is a necessary to have aspect. This aspect within an organization has become a requirement for success especially during these times of super global recession. Leaders should not lean on the richest pool of talents alone by relying on a group of people. Diversity of teams can be viewed in different factors like age, gender and race.

Experts have shown that teams with great diversity in these aspects tend to be much more successful in achieving the company’s goals as compared to those without diversity measures. These teams have high efficacy compared to teams with poor diversity. There are very clear demographic changes especially with regard to multicultural properties and gender in the talent pool. This calls for leaders to build heterogeneous teams that will make more innovative and effective decisions in meeting organizational goals and objectives. It has also been shown that 83% of consumer’s choices are made by women.
