Reinstatement Letter to the Registration Office, Essay Example

Pages: 1

Words: 264

Essay

Dear Registrar,

I am writing to humbly request you to consider reinstating my F-1 student status. I am sorry for making a mistake of violating the rules of the university. This is because I was not fully aware of the laws and regulations about my immigration status. I come from Country “A” and I rely on my parents to fund my education and other expenses. Due to some financial problems back at home, I was unable to get tuition and fees from my parents. This led me to run a snack shop within the university premises, something that is against the rule of the “X” University when it comes to foreign students. I am sorry about this.

As an individual, I am fully aware of the mistake I made. I am writing to respectfully apologize for the mistake I made. I now understand that infringing the rules and policies of the university is a serious crime that can lead to expulsion. I accept the mistake. I cannot afford staying out of university, as I honestly need to finish my studies. Being the first born of my family, I feel it will be a betrayal to the family if my studies end here. It would be extremely hard for me to return home without a certificate given that I came here to learn and not to operate a business. I will be the laughing stock of my village. For this reason, I would appreciate if you would reinstate my status and allow me continue with my studies instead of forcing me to go back to my motherland.

Sincerely
