Renaissance art has been of great significance to the present art work. It has contributed greatly to the 21st century in the field of art. Renaissance art involved painting, philosopher, decorative arts and sculpture of that European period or era. During this period, there were developments of philosophy, literature, science and music as well. Renaissance art was a rebirth of old traditions whereby the recent developments were absorbed from Northern Europe as well as application of contemporary scientific knowledge.

There are several contributions that have been brought about by the Renaissance art in the modern world. Many of the classical texts that were lost to the European scholars for many years have become available. They included poetry, Drama, thesis on art, philosophy and early Christian theology. These are of great importance to the current world today; therefore the renaissance art played a very great role in the current world field of art. The renaissance art is being used by the artist even today in their struggle to portray their knowledge as well as giving out the information or message they want to portray.  These arts still give the information and the message that they were intended to give even now. People have been able to master and even use the linear perspective in their paintings even today. From renaissance era, people have been able to paint people in realistic three dimensional ways. This is one knowledge that current artist have been able to use and even being helped by it.

One of the great sculptor, architect and painter in the renaissance era was Leonardo di ser piero da Vinci. He was born in 1452 and died in 1519. He was a man who had curiosity of inventing. He had the powers to invent; he was greatest painter and the most talented man in that time. Some of his great paint works included the Mona Lisa and The Great Supper. These were religious paintings that are of great use even today. Due to his great work, he was commissioned to paint the confraternity of the Immaculate Conception Virgin of the Rocks.

Michelangelo di Lodovico was another Renaissance painter, poet and sculptor. Two of his greatest arts included the statue of David. This was a statue that was placed in Piazza della Signoria. It was a masterwork that was created from marble block; this sculpture was considered as extraordinary technical work as well as symbolic imagination strength.  His other great work was Sistine chapel ceiling painting which took four years to accomplish.

Another great architect is Leon Battista Albert; he is known to be the great father of modern architecture. He was born in Greece in 1404. He has studied many subjects which include philosophy, law, art and even music. Albert redesigned the church of San Francisco in Rimine which he became very perfect after redesigning. He also redesigned Santa Maria Nevella which became most brilliant pieces of that time. His great work in architecture is still being used even to date. He developed various architectural styles during that renaissance era which are still being used even now.

Another great scholar whose work has been of great significant up to now is Giovanni Pico della Mirandola. He was a philosopher and a scholar. At one time, he proposed to defend almost 900 theses on natural philosophy, philosophy, religion as well as magic against all corners. He wrote Oration on the Dignity of Man, this has been called Manifesto of the Renaissance. These works are still beings used today by the scholars and those who love philosophy.

Giordano Bruno was an Italian mathematician and philosopher; he was best known infinity of the universe proponent. Some of his work included the Latin works like De Magia or on magic and Theses De Magia (Theses on Magic). His work has also been used even today hence ne did a lot of contribution to the world.
