Research Method Data Collection Approach, Essay Example

Pages: 1

Words: 393

Essay

Given that the relation between the variables being compared in this study has close connection, the utilization of MANOVA is being proposed. MANOVA or the Multivariate Analysis Variance is a practical approach to collecting data and analyzing collected information based on either the qualitative or the quantitative approach of research (Stevens, 2002). The reason for this is the fact that this approach tries to measure the dependent variables through creating a connection between multiple correlated responses (Stevens, 2002). Notably, as mentioned in the project proposal, the collection of the data needed for this study is to be based on direct interviews and the cross referencing of such results to collected data from several readings pertaining to the comparison of African American women who are pregnant and have been taking birth control pills prior to the said point of pregnancy.

Correlatively, the assumptive statistics to be collected would be commonly connected through the existence of pregnancy. This is the common element that serves as a primary requirement for the data to be considered viable for the study being completed. Relatively, the concept of presenting the interview results alongside the data collected from the references regarding the rate of African American women with type 1 diabetes who are pregnant is to cross-relate the condition or the effect that birth control pills have on the health integrity of the said individuals . It is assumed that the use of MANOVA in this case would provide a better reference that would better validate the condition of presentation (Carey, 2013) that proves whether or not birth control intake does affect the capacity of a woman to support the life of an unborn child and be able to deliver with low mortality rate.

Considerably, the aim of the research is to establish a good source of information that could be used to help increase the health integrity of pregnant women who are suffering from type 1 diabetes. Knowing how birth control pills affect the condition of pregnancy will provide a better vision on how they could be helped to maintain a manageable situation in case they do want to bear a child amidst the existence of type 1 diabetes in their system.
