Research Rigor on Qualitative Studies, Essay Example

In qualitative research, rigor is implied and understood as the constructive structure by which studies are dependent upon. It could be realized that somehow, qualitative studies are much harder to analyze according to rigor because it involves more abstract elements that require distinct cross referencing on particular theories that surround the said matter (NREBP, Internet). Considerably, it could be understood that the mandate of how rigor is used to identify the real value of a particular study could be applied in a qualitative research through creating a more reflective stance especially in assuming a more definite concept of theoretical up-building and correlatively connecting it to distinct issues of actual application depending on the situation being examined in the study.

For the research being completed, the utilization of good procedure in creating the methodology and utilizing the instrumentation chosen in actual sample analysis shall be given particular attention to. This is where qualitative research procedures are drawn into becoming more efficient in making a definite turn on how actual situations are measured and are expected to transform based on how human behavior is redirected for effective guidance that basically ensures the human population of a better outcome in the end (Cohen, et al, 2011). As these procedures are applied, the rigor of the study being completed could be determined accordingly. What is assumed as good assessment of operations could be likened to what is considered as effective application of survey questions and analysis of data that would determine the next step towards applying the intervention needed for the sake of improving research value of the study being dealt with. Giving close attention to how developed process of intervention could be applied in current issues that the sample population is dealing with give this research a better essence of determining how good research could turn situations around and make things better for a specific population being targeted in a community.
