Words: 369

Essay

The first party that will definitely be concerned about the policy will be the parents having children whose age group is in the range of those that are exposed to the dangers of becoming obese. Most parents definitely do not like seeing their children face health related problems. Therefore, they will positively support any program that aims at reducing the risk of their kids becoming obese. The other party that will be automatically affected is the American Law, specifically on the article that talks about health. The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of the 2009 is mainly concerned in the provision of funding to all states in the US in order to tackle the obesity or overweight epidemics. In this case, it will definitely support the project or the policy that would aim at campaigning against obesity. It will have to finance this campaign partly as a way of supporting its role. Since ARRA involves the use of money in funding the activity, the US department of finance and budget will be involved too. It is responsible for budgetary allocations. It will have to allocate enough money to organizations that will be involved in the fight against obesity in the US.

The other party that will be involved would be the teachers. Children spend most of their time with their teachers who see how they behave or what they eat sometimes. The teachers must be involved in any plan to fight obesity in the children. The teachers will have to react positively since their role as stipulated in the US Law is to make young people become better all-round adults. The other party is the health department or hospitals. Most hospitals majoring in the treatment and prevention of obesity will not approve this program since it will considerably lower their profits or turnouts. The nurses will approve this program, as the number of obese patients to take care of in hospitals will considerably reduce. However much some groups of individuals will not agree to the posted policy, it is logical and rational to ascertain that the level of obesity cases will lower. Such groups can be taught the need for common effort in fighting obesity in the US society.
