There is a lot to learn on Mayan civilization from Rigoberta Menchus Acceptance Speech. First, the Maya people started by occupying 300,000 square km in Southern Mexico. They grew and slowly spread geographically to other areas. Because of their growth later they came up with remarkably civilized political, social, and economic structures. They even become extraordinary people in various fields such as agriculture, engineering, and artwork. Indeed, they become experts gradually. Essentially, the Maya people were among the first groups that had the ability to discover the value of zero in mathematics together with the Indians before being passing on to the Arabs. These changes have served as lessons to the world and taught them the importance of peace as key to international recognition
