Ronda Rousey and the Society, Essay Example

Pages: 1

Words: 321

Essay

Ronda Roussey is today’s most famous woman member of the wrestling and the American Mixed Martial Art sports. Being an athlete under this reputation, Ronda Rousey is considered as one of the most influential individuals in the field. She is currently recognized as the UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion and the last Strikeforce Champion as well.  Garnering this particular reputation, Ronda Rousey was able to gain good response from the public; notably empowering women to enter into fields that they are not well-recognized to function accordingly. Relatively, this particular assumption of development gives a definite impact on how women behave in particular fields they engage in. While her existence in the said sport is unconventional, she was able to prove that somehow, the unconventional works for those who believe.

Practically, Ronda Rousey is one of today’s most powerful women in the field of athletics that is used in the field of marketing as the primary carrier of products for women; as if empowering them to perform at their best with anything they are assigned with. The purpose she serves as an inspiration to the female population in the society proves that any woman can be like her. Serving as the epitome of womanly strength, some even use her personal being as a sign of female empowerment [even in facing the toughest issues in life] as they deal with the most impossible challenges that life itself offers. The society then looks at her to be more than just an athlete that she is; instead, she is then looked at as someone who is able to become more than just the person that she is as she inspires others to take the high road and make a difference; to break the rules and establish change. This makes a huge change on how women today are viewed accordingly, especially by those who feel that the female population is a lot weaker than that of their counterpart.
