Rosalind Franklin Biography, Essay Example

Essay

During this semester, Ihad a new idea for writing this course. It changed my perceptionthat writing can also be a very pleasant experience. This class meant very much to me because it allowed students to choose any interesting topics. Also the class atmosphere and teaching methods were great.  In the process many new writing styles were attempted, which I never used before. Learning to work with peer was a very worthwhile learning strategy. Revising is a very important aspect of writing a perfect document. For example, “The Heroine behind DNA’s Double Helix,” “Google Search: Reunion,”and “The Other Side of Psychopaths” were three great articles, which helped me accomplish my goals as a better writer.

Importantly, Rosalind Franklin biography was the first revision I completed. It focused on research processes and methods. The exercise preceded a library class teaching us the skills we had to apply. It was then we were taught how to search the web and retrieved reliable sources.

I was able to design a family and educational background as well as research fellowship for Rosalind Franklin. Eventually my title had to be changed to ‘The Heroine behind DNA’s Double Helix” since it was simply‘Biography.’ It was then I understood the importance of a appropriate title.

This was a very unique research practice for me. “The Other Side of Psychopaths” was my favorite piece of research writing. It related to my abnormal psychology class. In this paper, I used examples of Steve Jobs, Neil Armstrong and Trolley Problem in indicating that not all the symptoms of psychopaths were negative. In the feedback, I  had to add statistical evidence as supportive data forpsychopath in every dimension.

Aworkshop experience is very useful since it allows discussion with peers.Although we had two classes for analyzing Chanel and Dior perfume photo advertisement, analyzingadvertisement is still difficult for me. The discussions conducted in the workshop were rather beneficial in helping me understand the specific skills to apply.

Collage writing is different from high school. For me Writing is not a single process. Before submitting a final version, the student must draft, rewrite, and revise among many other applications.Importantly, I realized from this course that writing involves constructing solid theses, accepting criticisms from peers, especially, when articulating a persuasive essay.  Learning these writing skills helped me to successfully complete essays for other courses. It was indeed a pleasure writing this portfolio and expect everyone reading to enjoy my writing.
