The three major miasms occurring in humans are: Psora (underfunction), Sycosis (overfunction), and Syphilitic (distorted function). The below summary will provide an overview of the three types, and their treatments.

Psora

According to Whole Health Now (n.d.), psora can cause irritation, inflammation, due to the underfunction of some of the human organs. The temperament of Psoric individuals tends to be psychological and ideological. The main pains associated with this phenomenon are itchy and burning ones, and are highly irritating. Skin is dry and looks unhealthy. Heudens-Mast (1998), is a part of every human. It is a weakness and sensitivity to chilliness and tiredness. Psoric diseases are related to exhaustion. Physical and emotional stress triggers and speeds up this condition.

Sycosis

The main symptoms of this miasm are indurations, inflirtations, and overgrowth, according to Whole Health Now (n.d.) Those who have Sycosis are often pessimists, and have fixed ideas, as well as negative preconceptions. The pain caused by the condition is both intense and sudden. Cramping is common. The skin often has moles and warts. Often the suppression of gonorrhea causes this condition. High fever is likely, as well as severe pain and inflammation, as Heudens-Mast (1998) describes the condition. Overfunction results in assess and growth of tumors, cysts.

Syphilitic

This miasm produces symptoms such as degeneration, granulation, and ulceration (Whole Health Now, n.d.). Patients are often destructive, and show signs of madness and genius at the same time. Most people are more restless and unable to sleep, pain is not common among those who are Syphilitic. The skin turns brownish red, and ulceration is common. It is related to deep impulses and hiding (Heudens-Mast, 1998).
