Seven Deadly Sins, Essay Example

Pages: 1

Words: 313

Essay

In his discussion, Zuckerman described seven deadly sins that he believed would have a dramatic impact on implementing a plan. The sin that will have the most significant impact on an organization occurs when workers are unaware of how a plan should be implemented. It is the responsibility of the leadership to communicate to the workers the various phases of the plan, the timelines that should be utilized for its completion, and the tools that should be referred to throughout the process. If this is not done, there will likely be a gap in understanding among the employees, which will work against their ability to collaborate effectively and achieve the anticipated goal.

A good leader is an individual who is aware of how to clearly communicate with his or her workers regarding the tasks that need to be performed. These individuals will be able to provide employees with specific details and potential training if necessary. This will ultimately enhance the performance of the workers because they will have an understanding of what they should be working towards in terms of long-term and short-term goals. Furthermore, the skills that they develop while participating in a well-directed project will pay off in terms of the next project that needs to be completed. If workers already understand the procedures that are implemented in their workplace, then they will be more prepared to enforce these protocols in future projects.

If workers are aware of how a project or plan should be implemented, then they will have a greater ability to take advantage of this awareness in a manner that will support their career development and the success of the company. It is the responsibility of the leader to ensure that this plan is well-organized and well-communicated so that he or she can confirm that project goals will always be achieved.
