Essay

Sexual harassment and pasting have become a very common vice that has ravaged the healthcare sector. Health care professionals have become so unethical and unprofessional to an extent of being the orchestrators of the rot. The irresponsible act has overwhelmed the health department making it hard for the institutions to understand and comprehend their contributions to the institution’s culture and retort amicably to matters of sexual delinquency.

Factors as hierarchical edifice and structure, an environment that put up with indiscretion, and chauvinism are among the elements that play a big role in creating the rot in the health care department.it is imperative to elucidate that a greater percentage of sexual harassment and assault is experienced in academic medicine compared to the scientific field. The health care department is trying to reduce the chances of such incidence by zero or avoid such incidences if possible but their efforts have been rendered futile since some medical practitioners are unethical and do not uphold professional and ethical standards. This is evident in the case of Dr. Rohit Varma, a University of Southern California gynecologist who had to pay $135000 to a lady who claimed that the gynecologist assaulted her (Bismark, 2020).

Sensual harassment emasculates the transient and abiding code of conduct and fundamental principle of the profession: ‘First not harm.  It is imperative to note that medicine cannot support philosophy and ethos that chronologically undercuts the ability, corporeal and psychological health, and accomplishment of such a great quota of its physician staff. In ordered to finish this problem once and for all, the traditional hierarchies must be taken down to give everyone an equal chance of leading thus reducing the ground for harassment

To take down this pandemic that has hit hard the medicinal centres and health care in general, much is expected from the general public, practitioners, and health care institutions in attempts to find long-lasting solutions to the problem of sexual arrangement. Additionally, the department has become worse since elements of racial discrimination have been recorded Healthcare sector has turned up for the event and is committed to understanding the root cause of the problem.

The initial phase is for healthcare establishments to obligate to understanding the delinquency. By doing so, they have to systematically and repetitively examine the nature, pervasiveness, and sternness of pestering and discrimination. Alternatively, the management requires open reporting of employee’s data so they can deliberate on matters of harassment thus ensuring that high ethical standards are maintained.

Policy improvement.  This is a very important aspect that every health care group needs to ensure that is clear, inclusive, and convey the firm commitment to protection, deference, inclusion, and equality.

Also, safe methods of recording and harassment have to be readily accessible to staff and supported by inventiveness to keep the reporting possibilities discernible and conversant to the whole community. Targets of aggravation must have ready access to psychotherapy and support, even if they decide on not pursuing official commentary processes. These assets should be presented outside of the organization to upsurge the relaxation of individuals reporting aggravation and to remove latent partialities that may occur once therapists are hired inside the same organization where the aggravation happened.

In conclusion, the health sector should strive to ensure that ethics are upheld and any loopholes that may endanger the lives of clients. To solve cases of sexual disparity, racial segregation in medical services provision a better development strategy should be developed and implemented. All stakeholders in the health care department should work together to weed out the ill-motivated workers to avoid reputational damage.
