To Whom It May Concern:
Shelbyville Infusion Center is a new organization within the community which has been established by a team of experts with knowledge of the healthcare industry to provide important healthcare services for local residents, such as chemotherapy, blood and related products, and infusion services, among others. Our organization is committed to developing strong relationships with local healthcare providers in order to serve the patient populations effectively and consistently at all times. We are seeking to offer high quality, cost effective services that will have a positive impact on healthcare outcomes; therefore, we are seeking support from local community members in order to accomplish our primary objectives in the provision of infusion services for all patients that will lead to lasting benefits from a healthcare perspective.
A key component of our operations moving forward is to work collaboratively with healthcare organizations within the surrounding area in order to provide patient-related services and products that will enhance their ability to provide high quality care to patients; therefore, our collaborative efforts will demonstrate our commitment to excellence and an organized approach to providing these services in a timely manner. It is expected that with your support, we will be able to demonstrate our commitment to the community and to serve the local population in order to bridge any gaps in care and treatment that might exist. We believe that the organization provides an opportunity to examine these needs effectively and to improve the quality of life of local residents. Thank you for your interest and support of our commitment to the local community in meeting their healthcare needs.
5 P’s of Healthcare Marketing
Product: The organization will offer products such as blood, infusion services, and chemotherapy services for patients who are in need, based upon the recommendations set forth by their healthcare providers. These products operate in conjunction with other healthcare services in order to accomplish the objectives of healthcare practice and must meet the objectives set forth for quality in order to preserve patient health as best as possible.
Place: The business is located in Shelbyville in a high-traffic area and operates in conjunction with a variety of healthcare providers in the area. Products and services will be administered on site to patients who have been referred to the center by their physicians. Parking for the center is adjacent to the building and is available at no cost to patients and their families. This location is also in close proximity to the local hospital and works in cooperation with this facility to support their patient care needs as best as possible.
Promotion: The organization requires a sound and realistic budget and promotional strategy in order to market its services effectively to local residents. Therefore, the marketing strategy must be practical and appropriate in supporting existing healthcare services within the local community. Promotion will take place via flyers, word of mouth, and visits to local healthcare organizations in order to get the word out regarding the services that are available.
Price: The pricing strategy for the organization will be competitive and will be enhanced by its close proximity to the local hospital and other healthcare organizations. This reflects a lower cost of services for patients and a reduced cost for insurance providers that is both competitive yet cost effective, particularly for local residents.
Profit: It is anticipated that the organization will be profitable once it has become a popular choice within the local community, and also because these services are a necessary component of healthcare practice. Chemotherapy, for example, is a necessity as part of many treatment strategies; therefore, it is likely to be profitable when the services that are provided become increasingly utilized.
Mission Statement
The primary mission of the Shelbyville Infusion Center is to offer an environment for all patients that is less stressful and is relaxing for patients; in addition, all staff members will provide comprehensive, compassionate, and appropriate care to meet the needs of all patients who are served (St. Mary’s Health System, 2015). All staff are properly trained and have access to the resources that are necessary to support the needs of the patient population who is served, and offer all services in a courteous and appropriate manner at all times (St. Mary’s Health System, 2015).
Vision Statement
The primary vision of the organization is to ensure that optimal care and treatment is provided to all patients in a manner that is consistent with the key principles of healthcare practice, while also establishing a key set of priorities that will move the organization forward, both now and in the future. It is expected that organizational leaders will continue to explore the most advanced tools and technologies that will have a lasting impact on the patients who are served by aiming to improve their quality of life as best as possible. The organization will continue to emphasize its expert knowledge and resources that are available in order to effectively manage the needs of the patient population.
Codes of Professional Conduct
In accordance with the principles established at the national level, the organization will emphasize ethical standards of care and treatment for all patients, treating them with respect in a professional manner at all times (National Home Infusion Association, 2015). All employees must operate in conjunction with all established business principles and those which govern healthcare practice, while making decisions that are in the best interest of all patients (National Home Infusion Association, 2015). All employees must adhere to the Code of Conduct in order to provide healthcare services in a manner that is consistent with the ethical practices, behaviors, and needs of the healthcare system that will have a lasting impact on patient care quality and outcomes (Burgess Health Center, 2013). This code also requires employees to behave in a professional manner at all times and to be mindful of the decisions that they make on behalf of their patients (New York Methodist Hospital, 2015). It is imperative that all employees adhere to the established code of conduct at all times so that they are able to provide patients with the services that they require to meet their needs and to demonstrate an ethically responsible approach to their patients at all times. All patients must be treated with the utmost respect and courtesy throughout every visit to the Center, and employees must answer any questions as they arise and consider the best interests of their patients above all else.
