Shopping Online or in the Mall, Essay Example

Pages: 1

Words: 332

Essay

With the advanced technology of the internet shopping has taken on a new meaning in today’s society. Today shoppers have two choices, either making their choices in the mall or surfing the web for new products. While many have their own preferences and beliefs it is difficult to say which is better, shopping in the mall or online. This essay will explore the benefits of both and a personal statement as to which I believe is the best shopping option.

Mall shopping definitely has its benefits. Shoppers can physically visit the mall and browse the many products in the store. This is especially important when a shopper is looking for a particular product that they need quickly. An example might be clothing they need and do not have the time to wait for it to be shipped. It is also important in many cases to be able to physically inspect and look at the product. In some cases the quality or make of the product makes it impossible to see when shopping online.

Shopping online benefits consumers because they have so many options and are not bound by geographical location. The choices are limitless because there are numerous options online. Shoppers can compare pricing and get great deals online as well. Another benefit of shopping online is the fact that many companies allow other shoppers to post reviews of the product or service. This is helpful because in the store, there are no reviews and can make the choice difficult. Online shopping is also extremely convenient as it can be done in the privacy of your own home, without any lines or other shoppers.

I believe that shoppers can get the best prices and greatest selection through online shopping. While I see benefit to both methods of shopping, I would have to say that online shopping is my preference over shopping in the mall. I am always looking for the best price and largest selection of products, which is offered through online shopping, every time!
