Pages: 1

Words: 292

Essay

What’s at stake?

Prolife activists believe that life should be respected and an unborn child already is ‘life’ hence it should be respected accordingly. On the other hand, there are those who believe that the decision should be under the mother’s decision as she is the one who owns the body which the baby

Reasons given for conclusion: Life ought to be respected may it be of the mother’s or the unborn baby’s breath. Both lives are valuable enough to be saved.

Reasons given against conclusion: People who seem to have another way of perceiving and understanding what life is about specifically gives a distinct indication on how abortion ought to be accepted as means of following one’s personal instinct about how she is supposed to direct her own life and decide upon whether or not she would continue a particular pregnancy regardless of the reasons she may have towards such action.

Evaluation of the argument: While there are several problems in the society today, abortion will not solve anything. In fact, it will cause many more problems that range from physical to psychological issues that are at some point making matters hard to contend with in the society. The debate between choosing a legal or a personal approach in determining the application of abortion to be acceptably shall still remain upon the thinking of the mother, the one who carries the baby.
