Introduction

Many of us might be disturbed with the meaning of the term SSRI. But in the real sense it is much simple. The term in full stands for Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors. Within the Normal clinics or hospitals, the practicing physicians need to know about the issues that require to be prioritized in their suffering who face the SSRI syndromes (Kleine, 1995). The Serotonin and the neurotransmitter increase are always caused by the change in the brain chemistry which is as a result of the SSRI medication. The SSRI is also believed to be the depression anxiety medications since they are used to treat anxiety among the other mental conditions (Patrick, 2003).

The SSRI medication that remains in the body brings about the set of withdrawal symptoms known as the discontinuation syndrome, and mostly happens in the case when the antidepressant is decreased. At this time a person may feel that he or she the flue fatigue, nausea, chills, diarrhea, headache, vomiting and dizziness which may last for a week. This definitely indicates that the weight gained is related to the improvement from depression relatively than with fluoxetine treatment.
