Pages: 2

Words: 676

Research Paper

In this discussion, a proper identification of two primary elements that could affect the future performance of Staples US shall be given specific attention to. Relatively, this measurement of performance is expected to make a definite impact towards the most considerable changes in the industry and the market that the organization needs to deal with. Noticeably, Staples US has already made a name in considerable sections of the world; nevertheless, there are still particular issues of market transformation that it should basically give attention to. Among the elements of change and challenge that the organization needs to handle successfully include the threat of substitution and the bargaining power of the suppliers.

The threat of substitution involves the need by the organization to see through how the industry grows in par with the changing demands of the market. Through knowing the demands of the market, the organization would be able to make a definite indication on how it might be able to fashion its products and services to the said detailed demands. Somehow, the consideration on this matter gives the organization a better control on how it is likely to compete with newly born organizations under the same line of production, service and distribution process sit engages with; especially with those that are ready to provide the market with substitute products that they might like. Most organizations that are just coming into the picture are taking the initiative of creating new likes, new demands and new expectations through pre-marketing options. Relatively, this means that the new born businesses would immediately get the attention of the market; thus getting their interest, and eventually motivating them to buy. Dealing with this issue through keeping a properly defined goal to innovate for the business is one aspect of advantage that the organization could take into full account.

The next element to consider regarding these changes would be that of the emergence of the changing bargaining power of the suppliers. Staples US provide a more defined insistence on how they get their products and from where they get it. Since the company is highly dependent on quality and determined function of the products it provides the community with, it could be expected that the suppliers providing the materials for its products would have a great impact on the actual pricing of the items distributed by the organization in the market.

Both these elements create a huge impact on how Staples US create a considerable effect on the overall value of international trade and how these engagements with other nations and other businesses would actually improve the overall performance of the business. This would specifically make an indicative impact on how Staples US ought to face its future. Knowing how to deal with the changing patterns of the threat of substitution in the local and the international market that the business engages with secures the organization’s position especially on how it retains its loyal clients; especially for the sake of retaining high rates of sales. Meanwhile, dealing with suppliers at a much better state of control on matters would basically give the organization a better mandate on the pricing and the reputation that the business stands for in the industry. Keeping a solid understanding of this matter would of course give the organization a better chance of effectively positioning itself in the face of international market challenges.

In consideration with a strategic approach to the issues considered in this discussion, the function of Staples US in the market is one that could be defined under the control that the business has on the way it is able to respond to the market’s demands especially in relation to the changing culture of the communities wherein the business is basically involved in. Through proper research and marketing strategies considered, more is expected to come out from the efforts of the business to retain its position in the industry.
