Stars, White Dwarf and Black Holes, Essay Example

Pages: 1

Words: 296

Essay

Subjects and theories discussed in this article are “star deaths and the formation of the compact objects, the cold equation of state below and above neutron dip, white dwarfs and their cooling, perturbations of fluid configurations, rotation and magnetic fields, pulsars, compact X-ray sources, accretion onto compact objects, gravitational radiation, super massive stars, stellar collapse, and supernova explosions.” (Stuart, L. 1983). Stellar models cannot keep track of all star formations in the universe hence I will discuss stars with a solar mass > 5. The Pauli Exclusion Principle states no two electrons can have the same coordinates in space. Thus the hot super dense core of a star is called the white dwarf. You can try to rearrange the quantum tracing of a star by squeezing it together but it will only reappear somewhere else and only stronger.

“The super massive black holes that lurk in the hearts of galaxies may have been born inside super massive stars that acted as enormous cocoons of gas and dust that provided a wealth of material for the black hole to gorge on and grow rapidly.” (Cooper 2009). These were not ordinary stars for they existed far from the Universe and continued to accumulate raw mass from the Universe over the years. The small holes began to feed on the ‘cocoon’ as the hole began to grow more and more massive until a great big hole was formed. Research found that most of these stars engrossed in the big holes contained enough gas to blow away the entire Universe.
