Skills and knowledge have you acquired that will assist you In completing your capstone project?

The learning experiences at Southern New Hampshire University during my years of study have been immense. I am now capable of taking a giant step forward into completing a capstone project on a topic of interest, which has intrigued me over the years of study. Precisely, the courses, which were mandatory involved rigorous training in hospital management. I learnt that by applying astute leadership skills a manager could command respect and cooperation from staff. Consequently, these attributes can facilitate acceptance of duties when delegated.

Importantly, the class on ethical aspects of marketing in health care was very meaningful to me as a leader in the health care industry. This helped me develop the skills of adapting authenticity when conducting business transactions among vendors and clients. Healthcare is a services as well as a business. We engaged in practice sessions through application of case study scenarios. There are two major ethical issues surfacing during our discussions one pertained to health care practitioners and organizations acknowledging their obligation to providing safe health care.

This must not be compromised under any circumstance even when maximize profits may become an overwhelming priority. Another important moral obligation is for physicians to maintain professionalism in prescribing medications for patients. Ethically there has been much propaganda regarding big pharma impositions on the health care industry. It centers on forcing physicians to prescribe drugs due to profits, which can be produced. The ethical skill here that was created related to me ensuring through manager of a health care institution these malpractices do not occur in my organization.

Additional skills would you liked to have learned?

Even though my discipline was not distinctly IT management, but health care management, my exposure to such intense information technology system functions has stimulated my yearning for more knowledge in the discipline. It is my belief that this significant to any health care manager because information technology an evolving science. Importantly, many medical records implemented in health care are malfunctioning. This is occurring because healthcare management along with staff members do have not acquired adequate information technology skills to manage these IT systems.

How well prepared I feel for this milestone?

I realize that a capstone project could be related to a wide variety of courses completed for a particular degree program. For me mastering these courses facilities successful completion of a capstone project. Appropriate application of skills learnt and indulgence of aspired skills to be mastered would enable me to complete this milestone at a very high academic level. My grades were of a very high level. As such, I expect to follow the same trend in achieving this milestone.

It is my desire to work closely with tutors who are expected to offer appropriate guidance as it pertains to the requirements for capstone in my discipline. From research I learnt that while there are some general strategic applications for completing a capstone project, every school and major has their distinct regulations. Precisely, with the help of an experienced instructor and a strong will to succeed, my success is confirmed once I get in alignment with the rules.
