Essay

To Whom It May Concern,

I would first like to begin by saying thank you for taking the time to consider my request. According to the university guidelines, I understand that my application for admission is beyond the submission deadline. Please allow me to explain my situation and reason that my application is late. Before the application deadline, I was working on course work and also preparing for my final exams. Understandably, I was a bit stressed with trying to complete my course work and also study for my finals. This is not something that is typical; normally I am prepared, but felt that I needed to study a little more than usual for my last class. I got a little overwhelmed and simply lost track of some of the other things that I needed to be doing. I felt that I could not refocus my attention on other things, and forgo studying or preparing for my exams. This is not typical of me, usually, I am an organized person that is regimented by my calendar, however with the stress the deadline date escaped me.

I need to begin this semester and remain actively in college classes. I understand that I missed the deadline, however feel that if I am given this chance, it will not be in vain. I am a good student and plan on continuing my educational journey. I do not foresee this situation hindering my educational goals and would greatly appreciate it if you could accept my application at this time. I appreciate your consideration and leniency in this matter and look forward to beginning school at this time.

Thank you,
