The Problem at hand is that when employees habitually use the same laptop for work and leisure they run the risk of compromising the security of their company’s conventionally secured workplace networks. This is because an employee’s laptop might become infected with malicious content while on an unsecured network, and when they return to work it may then upload the malware to the company’s server inconspicuously. Without the implementation of a corporate policy governing the laptop use of its employees, there is no way for a company to effectively monitor the content that may be uploaded it its networks in this manner. The following study will consist of evaluating the dangers and risk of using company computers for personal use and will explore the effects of these actions on the network’s remote security and physical capabilities.
