Stop Child Executions, Essay Example

Essay

The picture I found is a picture about minor death penalty. In the picture there’s a human figure holding on to a teddy bear, also the human figure’s head is hanged by the rope. One important thing on the picture is the caption, it said that “stop child executions”. The argument is present out throughout the caption. It catches people attention, and makes them think about it. I find the picture through an online ad website, it is called protectthehuman.com. For this argument the audience will be general audience. The major audience groups will be the parent, because this topic is really important to them. The reason why that is the parents have natural ability to protect their children, by not letting them gets hurt or harm.  We need to “stop child executions”, they deserve a second chance. The children’s brain is not fully developed yet; they cannot make the right decision. This topic is effective to most of the audience, because most of us will feel that children under 18 they still a children they make mistakes. They deserve a second chance to learn through their mistakes. They should not experience the same thing as the people who are over 18.  Because people over 18 their brain is more developed and they can make decision correct than the people under 18. This argument is an unethical, because it approaches the issue by manipulates an audience and may even harm it. Moreover, it tries to brain wash the audience by sympathy.  Other parameter in this argument will be the aging problem. Because the picture did not explain what age is the human figure. It can be represent 6 years old or 17 years old. Also the picture need to be more clear that the differences between a 17 and a half and an 18 years old, what’s the differences between the two.  Their brain can be developed the same, because the aging is not that much of differences. However, you can’t execute a 17 and a half, but you can execute an 18 years old. In this case, this is not fair to the 18 years old. Their brain may not fully develop like the 17 and a half. So we really need to find a balance between it to make it fair for everyone. In my point of views, I feel that minor should not be executed. Now the days the television has shows too much violence. Also children spend most of their time on television. They should not see such violence stuffs in their age; they will learn from what they see.  Parent need to be responsible to not let their child watch that violence stuff. Those things will affect the learning and their personality. They don’t know what’s right or wrong. They might think that things showing on television are right. In this case parenting play a big role, they need to stand up and avoid their child see it!
