Bryant’s article (2020) entitled “A test for leaders” reveals that COVID-19 proceeds to harm people’s lives and affects their safety and employment. It also poses a challenge for managers who had little aspirations or were less equipped, especially when a dozen years have passed after the last financial crisis. Employees raise concerns that members are not prepared to address. Understanding that building a sense of assurance is one of the main challenges leaders should carry out in this situation and can further explain their goals and methods for communication. By revising problems as possibilities, executives can move from a victim story to a viewpoint that reflects on what they should do to improve them and the organization’s performance in the light of this crisis. Bryant (2020), who talked about graphics equipment, indicated how a company nearly went out of business soon after the corporation was founded because a certain system was not working. The managers recognized the difficulties at the time, but stayed optimistic with their team but assured everyone that they would create a successful business. Debates on coronavirus should be held to outshine the need to maintain the ultimate strategies of the business, even if the crisis means that a new strategy should be generated. Firms require momentum and goal, and workers must understand that the senior squad decides to focus on driving the enterprise.

Strategic leadership refers to the capability of a management team to articulate and motivate everyone in an organization to obtain a strategic vision of the organization. Strategic leadership may also be described as the use of workplace management policy. This can affect leaders of the company and alter the company. The structural operational framework, tools, and strategic outlook are generated by strategic leaders. Within an uncertain climate, strategic leaders operate on very challenging topics that impact resources and organizations that are outside them (Parnel, 2014). Strategic efficiency is the primary aim of strategic leadership. According to Gusmão, Christiananta, and Ellitan (2018), the goal of strategic leadership is to establish an atmosphere in which workers foresee the desires of the client concerning their jobs. Strategic leaders promote the firm’s workers to accept their concepts. Strategic leaders use the recognition and rewards system more to encourage production and quality workers to give their company much improved results. Usable strategic leadership relies on creativity, vision, and strategy to support a person to accomplish his or her priorities and objectives. The ability to predict and recognize the operating climate is necessary for strategic leadership. The objective and the capability to view the big picture are required.

Strategic leadership, I think, requires long-term strategies and goals that help an organization to maximize resources, expand incentives, and attain competitive advantage. Even though strategic leadership has several benefits, like reducing change resistance as well as promoting cooperation, drawbacks are often present. The strategic leadership process is complicated, time-consuming, and hard to implement, and thus proficient planning is necessary to prevent crises. The article by Bryant (2020) states that executives should change the employee’s attention from the victim’s role to what they should do to support themselves and the company to thrives during this crisis. As stressful as this situation is, for now, they should be ready to take advantage of the experience gained at some point.  Leaders will now inspire their workers to begin the process. Through times such as this, it can be impossible to recall what a certain situation taught them, but there are experiences of suffering and they should use them to their advantage.
