Research Paper

All over the world, people are coming together to fight for their rights in terms of struggles. They want their voices to be heard and considered during decision making by higher ranks. Among their concerns usually entail equality in gender, race and sexual orientation. Different forms of struggles have been staged around the world, and their comparison is discussed.

In most of the struggles, women have always been in the forefront fighting for the rights of fellow women, and they take part in most of the struggles. In India, for example, their struggle is usually against the male domination of their world despite them having additional duties as wives and daughters (Ahlawat, 2018). On the other hand, women in developing countries face another form of struggle. Despite their advances, women still face unequal access to economic opportunities (Boudet 2011).

The struggles in the middle east are not advanced as those of western world and the former use primitive methods (Ahlawat 2018), this is because after all the struggles in the streets the men are not usually ready for this kind of revolution, so they end up beating these women when they come home. In the western world, women are usually empowered to be independent right from a young age, and as they grow up, men are generally aware of their needs. (Boudet,2011). Resources are always readily available for struggles in advanced countries compared to developing countries.

On racial equality and sexual orientation, the struggles can be compared as above only that such is more common in the developed countries in cases where blacks or Asians have to fight for recognition and opportunities with the whites, and this involves both men and women (Roberts, 2013). In this struggle, there is much organization working closely to ensure equality as this cuts across both genders. (Roberts, 2013).

The strategy necessary to maintain progress in the struggle for gender equality should be cognitive as the women should have the belief that more opportunities will reward their struggles. The same applies to racial equality struggles. When it comes to sexual orientation equality, their struggles should be effective as it involves emotions and how these individuals feel (Roberts, 2013)
