Essay

People who are currently in the military or have families who are currently in the military. Military personnel and their loved ones are coping with suicide in the military. Those are working to prevent suicides in the military. The audience will be people who are currently in the military or have families who are currently in the military. They will be coping with suicide within their ranks, and those working to prevent suicides will also be interested in this topic. There is a great deal of pressure on military personnel to succeed and uphold the traditions of their service. When one military member takes their own life, it can devastate the entire unit. It is essential for those coping with suicide in the military to know that they are not alone and that help is available. Resources are available within and outside the military chain of command, and anyone who needs assistance should reach out for help. Suicide is a severe issue, and anyone struggling with it should seek help from a professional.

Rhetorical purpose

Suicide rates in the military are rising, and researchers are still trying to figure out why. In this video, I’ll talk about some factors contributing to this increase and how you can help if you’re concerned about someone in the military. The suicide rates in the military are rising, and researchers are still trying to figure out why. Suicide is a severe mental health issue that affects service members and their families. The Department of Defense (DoD) continues to work to prevent suicides, provide support to service members and their families affected by suicide, and ensure that military leadership is educated about suicide prevention.

To help prevent suicides in the military:

Be aware of warning signs of suicide, such as talking about wanting to die or hurt oneself, expressing feelings of hopelessness, withdrawing from friends and activities, exhibiting unusual mood swings, and giving away prized possessions; if you are concerned about a military member, talk to them about their feelings; if they do not want to seek help, encourage them to contact a mental health professional; and be aware that military members may not discuss suicide with family or friends.

A new medium of presentation for suicide in the military

The official military website of the United States published an article discussing a new medium for suicidal behavior in the armed forces – cyberbullying. According to this piece, as more and more soldiers are using electronic devices to communicate, they may be at an increased risk of developing thoughts about suicide when faced with online harassment or humiliation.

This is a timely article, as recent reports have shown that there has been an increase in suicides among active-duty servicemen and women. In 2017, the military suicide rate was 20 per 100,000 people – a 2% increase from 2016. These numbers are concerning, as they indicate that there may be an increased risk for suicide among servicemen and women due to exposure to cyberbullying. While cyberbullying is not solely responsible for suicides among military personnel, it is an essential factor that should be considered when trying to prevent such tragedies. Educating service members and women about the dangers of cyberbullying and suicide can create a safe environment where servicemen and women can thrive.

I hope this video has been helpful and didn’t cause too much distress. The audience I will present the video to is people who are not currently in the military or have never been in it and their families. If you or someone you know is struggling with thoughts of suicide, please reach out for help. There are many resources available to you. You can call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255 or chat online with a crisis counselor. Thank you for watching!
