In understanding the story’s effectiveness, the reader should be base the elements of a good story and what majorly satisfies the reader regardless of more delicate details, which are significant in creating a successful account. The reader is only satisfied when the stories achieve specific effects; that is, it should inspire the reader to wonder.
The author is making a full dramatic content of the story. When the author’s father is driving home from school, and his siblings identify an individual on the street wearing snowboarding, which looks exactly like their fathers’ snowboarding jacket. Instead of going home, they create tension within the road by pulling the van next to the guy, and the father gets out of the truck. The authors’ father claims that that jacket belonged to him and was stolen from his van while at work. It is surprising because it’s not only the authors’ father who can buy such a snowboarding jacket within the street. The authors’ father behaves extraordinary in the sense that everybody can access to search snowboarding jacket. There is a couched tension within the road because of the possibility that the person identified in the street to have stolen the snowboarding jacket may also defend himself by claiming that the snowboarding jacket is his, which can result in conflict. He is threatening the guy and cursing and yelling and throwing his hands up and around, making the author scared.
From the story, the author has some beliefs, unique characteristics compared to other characters. He is saying that he only needs a few weeks to get back his feet. He is an individual who enjoys using drugs and drinking when given a chance. He claims that for him to relax at night, he needs to smoke some pot. A couple of years ago, the author dropped out of high school and moved out of his mother’s house. He is lazy, and he spends most of his time making pizza and smoked pot, and drinking beer with his friends and roommates. The authors’ behavior is standing out clearly and making him remembered by the reader. From the author’s behavior, goals, and motivations, it is easy for the reader to know who the author is, hence understanding how he relates with other characters.
The author makes the essential part of the story effective by introducing new characters to help the existing surfaces. Again, the author increases the tension by increasing what is at stake for the story’s characters. The author’s father owned a surf shop which is located in Lincoln City. He sold surfboards, sails, wakeboards, snowboards, windsurfers, wetsuits (Hrabs 11) The author introduces new characters who create tension where the new characters broke into their garage and stole all the gear. Surprisingly they did not file any police report to help them find back their lost items. The introduced characters in the story help create tension within the story, making it practical for the reader to go through the story.
The story has deepened the plotting with subplots to make readers care about the characters; hence readers can grow and invest in the story. For a reader to have a compelling story, the author has deepened the plotting within subplots that focus on improving the level. The reader will feel more connected to the characters within the report. The connection between the reader and the story can rise out of empathy and understanding.
From the story, individuals affected by the plot, who have motivations, traits, fear, weakness, personalities, should take actions based on their psychological characteristics. For the story to be sufficient for the reader, the report should build a strong story. Characters should have to be well defined and consistent across the entire story because the reader can only believe, empathize with the characters if they can deduce their strait, relate to them, and see the justification behind the character’s activities. The setting of the story is taking place in Lincoln, where the author located his surf garage. The location of the story has a significant influence on the way the plot should be perceived. The tale’s surrounding gives direct support to the character traits, allowing the reader to understand the underlying inspirations and distress clearly. The theme is helping in reusing the plot and characters within the story.
To have an effectively story told, the author should find how characters within the tale connect and the reader. The author should concentrate on the choice of words to use in the story. The tone used in the story, the terms used, and how the words should be designed for the reader. The technique and expressions used in the report enable the story to resonate with the intended reader. The author should specify the reader and make the plot as simple as it gets and compelling, hence understanding the character’s well-defined traits, motivation, and goals. Think of your theme and the decor that goes with it to make it authentic and believable.
