Systems Review Committee Proposal, Essay Example

Pages: 1

Words: 338

Essay

After careful analysis of this company’s internal operations, it has been determined that a systems review committee can be a useful tool for internal process improvements that adhere to the organization’s target goals for continued success.  Currently our organization is operating at a high rate of efficiency with excellent leadership from its employees at the top and bottom; however, there are a few areas that a systems review committee could identify as areas needing improvement in order to increase internal operational efficiency and decrease overall financial and human resources costs.

The systems review committee is a critical component to apply knowledge from employees of many areas within the organization. Many organizational plans and decisions may show positive benefits for one area of the company but fail to effectively analyze indirect impacts upon other areas of the company.  This interdisciplinary committee can be utilized to examine the costs and benefits of any proposed changes within the organization to completely illustrate how a decision will impact all departments.

In summary, a systems review committee is able to examine the information systems in any organization and look for areas of weakness that can impact overall productivity.  Efficiency within our processes can lead to better rates of production, increased response times, and enable employees to perform at a much higher level.  Interdepartmental communication will be improved and employees will have access to relevant information that will be retrieved from the same information system instead of having more than one system to track the same type of information.  Reducing potential human errors can improve the quality of our information as well as the quality of the internal and external information systems.

Please review this memo as a proposal for the formation of a systems review committee.  Members of each relevant department should be present within the committee.  As always this committee and all decisions made by managers and leaders of the company are meant to improve the quality of this company and increase overall profits.  These two goals can be achieved through a systems review committee.
