The manner by whichcocvolutionary gaming could influence communication by applying the Johari Window will be reviewed from the works of Zastrow (2014), Cares and Miskel (2007).   The manner by which coevolutionary gaming influences groupthink and cautious shift will be explored from the perspective of Zastrow (2014), Cares and Miskel (2007).  A classroom environment will be theorized where the components of coevolutionarygaming might impede the processes of decision making by the group and its members.   In coevolutionary gaming, the members of the group are influenced by the other members’communication with regards to the foundations of power  (Cares & Miskel, 2007).   These foundations of power which are exercised by group members in coevolutionary gaming are categorized as expert, referent, legitimate coercive and reward authority (Zastrow, 2014, p. 97).

This analysis of the foundation of the power constructs enable themembersof the group to review the origins of their authority and to delegate advice on the correct timing and application of the authority in order to influence the other members of the group (Cares & Miskel, 2007).   The circumstances when coevolutionary gaming might affect the decision making ability of a group can be evident in a classroom environment.   The influence of unequal power in the group environment can lead to a lack of trust and cautious shift between the members who possess high power and low power.   This can be attributed to the apprehension which is perceived by the low power members that they may be manipulated by the higher power members of the group with regards to communicating views which are in opposition to the perceptions of the higher power group members.   The ability of exercising group think is enhanced when the members of the group perceive that there arebalances in the group members’ power ((Cares & Miskel, 2007; Zastrow, 2014).

Conclusion

When these power imbalancesbetween group members are overcome, it becomes possible for the members of the group to effectively perform as a unit and to perceive strengths and weaknesses in the strategies which are applied against opposing teams.   The most substantial outcomes from the Departmentof Defense co evolutionary game play exercises take place when the participants gradually progress from failure to success.   The transition from failure to success allows the participants to accumulate new experiential knowledge which enables the group’s awareness to develop.
