Introduction

The instruction below provides an outline of the steps required when tapping Your Phone Line. The procedure described below provides a simplistic approach which is also effective in cordless phones. Although it is cheapest way, it provides a rather awesome connection ingenuity.

The schematic diagram of simple physical tap is shown below

Step1: Equipment required

  1. Radioshack control recorder
  2. A recorder wwith microphone jack (plugs)
  3. Phone line
  4. From more than one phone you need 1-to-3 jack adapter
  5. Phone cord
  6. 8- conductor coupler (inline)

Step2: Connecting the lines together

Where more that one phones are involved, a Reconton Dual Modular T-Adapter is required. To perform the connection and esxtra code is required and this will also need an 8- Conductor line coupler. All the phone cords are to be connected in a manner, they will end up in one main jack to be used.

Step 3: Plugging on the phone lines

All the phoe lines to be used are taken and connected to the main adapter

Step 4: Plugging the adapter

The phone lines and the apter are taken and plugged into the recorder control port

Step 5: Plugging the Recorder control in

The cord coming in from the control is subsequently plugged into the phone’s jack. At this point in time, the switch should be set on record

Step 6: Plugging the microphone and the REM in

The microphone cords and REM are the plugged in. it is important to figure out the various sizes that match but the REM cord is always the smaller one.

Step 8: Testing the Arrangement

After everything is plugged on and proper running of the wire is examined. The system is tested by inserting a tape. If the connection is correct, the recorder should begin recording one the phone is picked and turned on.
