Tattoos and Piercings, Essay Example

Words: 308

Essay

Tattoos and piercings are among the most common elements of discrimination among applicants in most office-defined work lines. Relatively though, it could be understood that tattoos and piercings are common trend especially among young individuals who are still attending classes. Relatively, such condition of development is highly dependent in this particular act, especially that individuals who have tattoos and piercings become profiled as rather unruly or unreliable in different terms. Among the jobs that might not allow workers to have tattoos and other body piercings could include legal field of work, business administration and other more formal fields of work. Some other work positions that might allow such body markings could include art-related fields of industries and other areas of work that allow creative outputs to be imposed at part of their duties.

If given the chance to lead a team, body piercings and tattoos among employees would not be so much of a problem for me as I do not intentionally profile people based on their outside appearance. Believably, I would depend more on evaluating their actual work procedures and attitude. It is only through this approach that I would be able to give attention to matters that have a greater impact to working procedures in parallel with the physical appearance of an individual. Deliberately giving attention to what they can do and not on what they look like, I would be more of a balanced leader, than judgmental one.

Being a good leader should allow me to see more than what my eyes could analyze about my team members. Practically, I am prepared to see effectively what my team mates could offer apart from what they are expected to provide. Notably, good leaders do not mind so much about physical appearances instead focuses more on the abilities of an individual to become more effective in completing their posts.
