Essay

The act of bulling in this case involved punching as well as kicking the young Pennsylvanian boy, Nadin Khoury, then hanging the boy on a tree with his legs up and head down (Sean, 2011). The reasons contributing to the bullying are that, the young boy, aged 13 years, is small and his mother is of an African origin. Bullying involves aggressive actions that are intended to cause harm and injury, mentally or physically in attempts of gaining control and power over the victim (Ducharme, 2010). In bullying, vices such as jealousy, envy as well as spite involved play a crucial role since the offender’s fear that the victim could be in a position to achieve better than the offender, thus prompting efforts of suppression through aggressive behaviors. Children who are bullied require to be supported both morally and physically by their parents as well as teachers. Although the child may fear to report the cases due to fear of being reprimanded by their offenders, it is prudent that parents encourage their children to report such actions and then the parent reports to the school administration for action.

Considering bullying from a relativism point of view, the morality of an individual plays a major role in judgment and no morality can be imposed on a person. Assuming that morality can be considered as subjective, then the bully should embrace responsibility of determining the right and the wrong ((Ducharme, 2010). It is important to adhere to the absolute morality that dictates that, irrespective of the prevailing situation, a definite wrong and right exists. The wrong thing shall remain to be wrong at all times and the right thing shall remain so.
