Tesla Motors, Research Paper Example

Tesla Motors is a premium electric car company that has faced much unreasonable opposition in the past few years. Despite the innovative car model produced by the company, it is difficult for business to sustain itself as a consequence of necessary sale prices related to the cost of production (Davis). Furthermore, influential individuals that are stakeholders in the gasoline and petroleum industry are taking action to ensure that these vehicles will be less accessible to the public.

Since Tesla is new to the market, it has encountered many of the economic problems that new companies face. However, since this product is revolutionary as well, it also faces many additional challenges to its stability. First, the company must effectively establish an understanding of the demand that exists for the product so that it may be able to produce an appropriate supply. In addition, it must determine how the product should be priced based on both this information and the net cost of its production. Second, the company must effectively determine how to incorporate lobbying political figures in its plight to stay afloat (Rogowsky). Without governmental support, Tesla dealerships could be asked to leave a given state. Such an event occurred in New Jersey, piloted by Governor Christ Christy.

In order for Tesla Motors to survive, it must focus on its innovation and patent the ideas that it implements in the construction of its vehicles (Fisher). Furthermore, it needs to gain governmental and investor support in order to place itself in a position to fight the contradictory opinions that are being spoken against it. It is likely that if Tesla Motors is able to survive, it will initiate a new understanding of how modern cars should be produced.?
