Essay

Pictures have so much internal meaning than what one sees in a grasp. A picture portrays the theme of the surrounding. It explains the mood of the characters involved, while at the same time describing the venue of rather vicinity. The description of an event, a place, and more especially, a new place best described using a picture. This paper seeks to give a description of an eventful photo.

At the glance of the photo, one sees a young colorful woman dressed in funny, but interesting clothing; a red skirt, a big sky-blue scarf, a white top, and a white cap. The woman is in motion, probably dancing. The occasional clothing covers her legs making them invisible. On the right side of the woman is another person in green attire and red shoes in motion. He too has a white cap. On the right side of the colorful woman is yet another person (probably a man, dressed in black, yellow and white. He has the right hand held up while the left hand seems to hold something. In front of this man is a person in navy-blue, orange, a little white, and blue, but the whole figure cut short. This describes the foreground, and at the same time, the colorsdepict the tasty and colorful event. At the background is a group of an uncountable number of persons on a ground that is a little bit higher than the foreground. They are standing still, with others even folding their hands. Two or three persons have secured themselves some sitting place on the floor.

The picture depicts a social context, where the persons in the foreground are the performers, while those at the back are spectators.  There is a while mark running across the floor, probably to mark turning points of some moves for the performers.  The ongoing event has probably lasted for quite sometime, as the spectators seem tired and have sat down. One or two persons have their mouths wide open, ululating for the performance. Some are just amazed at the traditional performances and the tragic and magical moves that not all persons have the potentiality to make. In fact, on such occasions, one might think the performers are boneless.

The photograph depicts a dancing culture. The people in the photograph could have a culture of organizing dance events where the performers train for quite some time before the event. Before such events, there is also a lot of anxiety by both the performers and the spectators. While the performers anxiety arise due to the fear of defeat, the spectators long for the joy of watching, and enjoying, while some could have their aspiring performers.

Musical instruments cannot miss in such events and obviously, there should be the sound of sweet background music. In the case of a salsa dance, then slow music plays, while fast music, that is considerably loud music plays music in the case of a traditional event. The background music would vary with respect to the type of event. With the motions and ululations there must be smells of sweat all over after the event. All the same, the joyous and tasty part comes in at the aftermath of the event, where there is the determination of the best performer. The judges come in to give a final word.  Rewards given to the winners, and the crowd would end up at a bash.
