How I Met Your Mother

How I Met Your mother is an American sitcom that ran from September 19, 2005 to March 21, 2014 for a total of 9 seasons. Despite the fact that the show ended this spring, it will continue to be iconic for many generations to come. At its peak in the 9th season, the show had more than 10 million viewers around the world. Ultimately, How I Met Your Mother can be considered the best television sitcom of all time not only due to its popularity, but also due to its originality in content.

Aside from casting renowned actors, the television show was continuously engaging. The dialogue kept the viewers interested, while many continued to view the show long term because they wanted to discover how Ted Mosby actually met the mother of his children. Throughout this process, the story was compelling and offered comedy in ways that had not yet been accomplished. Evidence for the shows status as the best sitcom is available mainly due to the importance that it had in the lives of its fans. After each new episode premiered, everyone would discussed what had occurred and excitedly look forward to the next part of the story. Even more compelling is the fact that fans were distraught when they had learned that the show would be ending, even though it meant finally discovering who “The Mother” finally was.

In conclusion, How I Met Your Mother is the best television sitcom because it had both high viewership and a compelling story. Fans will continue watching reruns of the show for years to come, despite the fact that they have been presented with an official ending. It is likely that the show will continue to be an important component of popular culture and people will continue to use references to the show in daily conversation.
