The Brain Is Like a Plant, Essay Example

Pages: 1

Words: 358

Essay

The brain is like a plant, starting to take delicate moves towards the sun and taking water from the ground to grow and develop; similarly to the flower, the human brain absorbs the initial data, speech of parents, their moves, the pictures in the books they show to the child, and builds internal connections on the basis of these data for the enhancement and further advancement.

The human brain is like a wardrobe; some people have mass, dirty things, and irrelevant trifles in it. Therefore, as soon as they start looking for some thing they need, they lose much time, and rarely find something except trash. Other people keep their things in order, clean their clothes and arrange them according to shape, purpose, or color. The human brain also requires categorization and systematization of data, and storage of relevant data in appropriate places. People who cannot organize their own knowledge are rarely skillful in information retrieval, learning, and academic advancement.

The human brain is like a sponge people use when cleaning their apartment; it absorbs everything it touches, and the quality of a sponge affects the quality of absorption. Cleaning the sponge effectively also depends on its quality; similarly to a sponge, a human brain is susceptible of any data it gets, but the quality of remembering and storage of that data depends on the effort made by the individual, and on the quality of learning the present brain presents.

The human brain is like a beloved pet; in case an individual nurtures his or her pet, talks to it, and treats it humanely, the pet will respond with care and tenderness. In case the individual treats his or her pet as an animal lacking any level of intelligence, he or she will get nothing but indifference. The brain’s response also depends on the attitude its possessor shows; in case brain functions are taken for granted, the brain will never work adequately, and will not develop further. In case brain is trained and nurtured, the individual may be pleasantly surprised by the response it gives, the data it is capable of storing, and the new knowledge generated with the minimum effort.
