The chick-Fil-A is mainly a quick chicken restaurant that is mainly Christian based. The restaurant has made millions of dollars from sales over the past years and through its strategies, it has managed to be among the leading the major companies. The company success is mainly pegged on 4p; product, price, place, promotion. These four Ps are equally coupled with purpose and people as parts of its major strategy.

In regards to product, the company has come up with a variety of brands most of which fulfill the needs of nearly customers of all ages. Through brand development, the company has developed a variety of brands to suit the needs of customers within the market.

Relatively ,the prices of the products are equally manageable and vary depending on the brands. The quality of the products offered is high, thus prompting the customers to pay the given prices. There is also great restaurant experience where children are made to have fun within the restaurant alongside other major events.

In regards to place, the Chick-Fil-A has outlets located in various parts of the country. Through such outlets, millions of customers visit and carry take a ways and even eat within the premises. In addition, they have outlets in places such as hospitals and airports. This increases their customer base hence great sales. Promotion also helps a great deal in the growth of the company. The company brand comprises of the renegade cows, which are often used in their adverts. The cows appear on billboards, entertain customers, and most people especially children love the cows. The company policy of closing on Sundays also reveals how god-fearing they are. This has earned them great reputation within the country. The idea by Richards regarding placing a “Eat Mor Chikin” billboard increased the company’s fame significantly hence increasing its customer traffic since 1995. Such billboards have been erected in various parts. The company also came up with ways of enriching children with arts. In this strategy, they offered the kids reading materials branded with their logo alongside the purchases they made (Boyles, 2014). Finally, in their strategy, they have purpose and people. In regards to purpose, the company ensures that its clients are treated with utmost respect and dignity. It also rewards customers with presents such as shirts to motivate them. The company also cares for the people (O’Donnell et al., 2008). This is seen through the scholarships that it gives alongside the events that they organize people to learn and develop their potentials.

  1. What type of strategies are Chick-Fil-A following?

The Chick-Fil-A engages the 4p strategy. This means that they emphasis on the product, price, promotion, and place of the business. Through these strategies, the company has managed to establish a great customer base. Coupled with the strategy of purpose and people, the company ensures that its customers are treated with dignity and value (Redman & Sankar, 2013). In addition, it caters for the customer needs through provision of scholarships, and organizing events that enable the customers realize and develop their talents (Cathy, 2012).

  1. How would you describe Chick-Fil-A positioning strategy?

The Chick-Fil-A has the religious position of a god-fearing organization. In this respect, the company does not open on Sundays. This position depicts them as responsible and god-fearing hence earning trust.

  1. Is Sunday closing a competitive advantage?

Yes, the Sunday closing is a competitive advantage since it portrays the company in a positive way (Cathy, 2012). It reveals that the company is god-fearing as well as not after making profits alone. People therefore perceive them as principled and having the correct path to their purpose.

  1. Should other retailers consider closing on Sundays?

No, this strategy is unique only to this company. It commenced with this and that has turned out to be its culture. Other companies cannot fit into this strategy because its not part their organizational culture. It will therefore not merge with the vision statement of the company.
