Essay

Earlier days when the mothers took full responsibility of the child are long gone. One parent, more especially the father would work and earn enough money to sustain the needs of the entire family. Lately, the economy has changed; life becomes more and more expensive and as time goes by. Therefore, both parents have to work to make ends meet. Further, women have opened their eyes, and they feel obligated to provide a share of the daily bread. The question now comes in of who is to take care of infants. With this in mind, creative minds have identified a business opportunity; thus they created childcare centers. About 80% of young families in the US benefit from services at the child care services but are the services effectiveness? This paper seeks to evaluate the goodness of the “Children of America Educational Childcare and Academy”; the size of the centre, the equipment, the staff, and the cost effectiveness.

The Children of America Educational Childcare (CAEC) is one of a kind.  They have a different approach in upraising a child with commitment to the educational future of the child. While other childcare centers would consider infants as too small to be involved in creative activities, CAEC is different. They involve their infants to innovation and creative activities, which mark strong educational foundation. They have it in mind that the way a teacher injects education to a child at their early years are particularly critical. These approaches help a fabulous deal in building a solid appreciation for education for children. CAEC is a center with qualified teachers. Dr. Vicki Folds, the expertise 35 one of the nation’s leading child development experts with 35 years of experience developed their proprietary curriculum. The strict curriculum makes CAEC an outstanding childcare centre. The childcare has three driving forces; their mission statement, an established active learning environment, and an assessment body that evaluates and assesses their performance, while telling them on their weaknesses and parts needing improvement.

CAEC mission statement

Children of America’s Education Childcare centre mission statement reads “commitment to provide a safe, a developmentally appropriate environment for infants through elementary school. This mission statement majorly emphasizes on the provision of a stimulating and educational experience, which promotes the child’s social, physical, emotional, and cognitive development. Their educational program fosters self-esteem, encourages curiosity and inspires the desire for children to being life-long learners.

The established, active, and central learning environment at the CAEC

Young children are active learners by default. CAEC has considered this; thus they have an approach to early childhood education, where they pass education through physical activities.  In that regard, CAEF has patterned their philosophy after the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). This enhances their standards with developmentally appropriate practices.

The physical size of the CAEC is large enough, and even has room for expansion. They have classrooms and a well-equipped field. For effective achievement of their goal of developing a social and physical environment, CAEC has divided their learning environments into three; naturalistic, informal and structured learning environments. The naturalistic classroom, for example, is where children solve problems through experiences. Here, there is a high level of thought processing, where there is subjection of children into critical thinking skills. Teachers pose practical situations to children to figure out for themselves. A child; however tiny he or she is has a thought of dignity. Theirs smallest thought and dignity need respect and uniqueness in treatment.

The general environment at the CAEC is a positive one, with positive interactions. The teacher works under a philosophy that promotes the child’s physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development. Every child has a chance to learn through his or her own creativity and self-reliance. This approach allows children to be self-reliant, develop a strong foundation of being great readers, writers and logical thinkers. Children become innovative explorers, great learners, and they develop skills necessary to succeed in their educational futures.

Performance Assessment

In everything, people do, they always think they are right, until proven right. It is with help of a certain tool that one recognizes the areas that are underutilized, declined and those areas needing improvement.  CAEC has various assessment tools including; Phonological Awareness Literacy Screening (PALS), and Early Math Diagnostic (EMDA), and the Metropolitan Readiness Tests® (MRT®) assessment programs. These tools measure children’s knowledge on name writing, alphabet knowledge, literacy concepts, print/word awareness, language development and general quantitative mathematics concepts.

They say that it is right give the devil its due, and therefore, it is only right to give “The Children of America Educational Childcare Centre” its due. It is a centre that not only aims at generating income from parents, their costs are friendly, and their services give value for one’s money. At CAEC, they do not just pump in education to children, but they take responsibility and carry out bi-annual assessments to evaluate our preschooler’s progress. Their standards consistently outperform the national standards year after year. They form the role model for other childcare centers to follow. The Children of America Educational Childcare centre is the best place one can ever take a child for care. Try it and you will not regret!
